Let Us Create Unforgettable Moments and Support Noble Causes through the Universal Language of Music

Dear Friends and Honored Guests,
As Rector of JAM Music Lab University and Director of the Friedrich Gulda School of Music Wien, it is my profound pleasure to welcome you to the Strauss Charity Arts Festival 2025. This festival, held in the jubilee year of Johann Strauss, is a magnificent celebration of his enduring legacy and the transformative power of music. JAM MUSIC LAB University has a strategic focus on the development of popular music, and it is therefore a particular pleasure for us to be able to contribute to the Strauss anniversary year.
Organized by the Society for Cultural and Educational Exchange Sonata Vienna and the European Musicians’ Association, this event is a beautiful symphony of collaboration and shared passion. We are deeply grateful for the support of many partners, including the UN Women’s Guild Vienna, the Vienna Institute for Strauss Research, and the C. Bechstein Center in Vienna.
Johann Strauss’s music has left an indelible mark on the world, enchanting audiences with its elegance and vitality. This festival not only pays tribute to his genius but also underscores the importance of collective musical expression and the hope it can inspire in our hearts.
With the theme “Music Lights Up Hope”, this festival embodies a spirit of generosity, supporting both Strauss research and essential initiatives for women and children. Your participation is crucial in making this festival a beacon of hope and a celebration of the artistic spirit that Strauss so beautifully exemplified.
Thank you for being part of this extraordinary event. Together, let us create unforgettable moments and support noble causes through the universal language of music.
Warm regards,
Prof. Mag. Marcus Ratka
Rector of JAM Music Lab University
